Meet Your Coach
Hello, I'm Kerri.
Before I became a coach, I was a girl who spent most of her childhood feeling like she was in trouble for just being herself.
I was that “ADHD-ish” Gen X girl long before ADHD was on anyone’s radar, especially for girls. I was endlessly curious, chatty, messy, and always in motion. Creating a comic book business or climbing trees sounded infinitely better than sitting still in a boring classroom. My imaginative and impulsive spirit meant I spent plenty of time in the hallway, the principal’s office, or writing sentences on the blackboard during recess. I struggled academically throughout school and college and believed I was unintelligent. I felt different and odd, and I carried those beliefs well into adulthood.
Later in life, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Ironically, I’d spent years working with ADHD students without recognizing those same patterns in myself, often chalking up my own struggles to personal or moral shortcomings. I’ve since discovered that many women share this experience, quietly masking their challenges and carrying hidden self-doubt, adding stress, frustration, and overwhelm with it.
A little about me:
I grew up in the northern Midwest but traded snow for saltwater when I moved to coastal North Carolina. Life here suits me: beach walks, training my spirited (read: challenging) Australian shepherd, unrushed cooking projects, strategic laundry avoidance, and stolen moments on my porch swing with a good book.
Are you ready for a new approach? Let’s talk about what’s happening in your life and explore the possibility of working together!
